Longboarding means something different to everyone. Most people start longboarding just to get around, its a safe and cheap means of green transportation. It all started when the surf was dead, surfers resorted to surfing the concrete wave! Although they started on boards and parts that would scare people now. Skateboarding and longboarding are like twin brother and sister born on the same day when those surfers strapped some wheels to a board, longboarding is essentialy downhill skateboarding. With so many riding styles and techniques, longboarding and skateboarding began to differentiate themselves from eachother.  The equipment and boards have began to change with peoples riding styles, technological advancements, and peoples demand for a more high quality product. Now the sport has evolved and so have it's riders. Everything has changed from wheels to safety equipment.  So many variables come into play when choosing a longboard; what kind of riding will you be doing on it, how big you are in height and size, and ultimately what you want from your board. With so many choices it can be hard to choose what you actually want, and that is what GnarReview is here to do.
